The primary interest of the Fitzpatrick Foundation is to support elementary and secondary school programs for students and educators, with a particular emphasis on programs serving economically disadvantaged youth in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Foundation supports a variety of initiatives including in-school and after-school programs for students which enhance academic achievement, arts education, and technology skills.

Additionally, the Foundation supports professional staff development programs for teachers with an emphasis on the provision and application of technology to improve instruction and learning. Organizations and programs seeking support should be able to demonstrate measurable results through ongoing assessments of their activities against stated goals and objectives.

The Foundation also makes a limited number of grants annually to projects of special interest to the Fitzpatrick family.
